With social distancing becoming common, museums, and most cultural facilities, including art galleries, closed, and the entire city shut down for a long time, the art world faced many changes in 2020. As a result, our writers sought to cope with the changing times, and the rapidly changing visual art of the after-corona era entered the New Normal era in non-face-to-face cultural life.
Marking its eighth anniversary this year, "959 Art Platform Open Studio" is a venue to showcase various creative results newly conceived by tenant artists throughout the year. Due to Covid-19, the opening of the open studio is limited, and the online exhibition, which is held through SNS a month before the face-to-face exhibition, does not visit the studio in person, but examines the main works and intentions of the tenants. In addition, during the face-to-face exhibition period, the introduction of the studio artist was designed to provide a more dense viewing through the QR code.
